The classic straight booze vodka drink is of course vodka martini.
This version gained popularity right through the 1950s until immortalised by James Bond with both the vespa and the shaken vodkatini.
2 shots 42 Below Vodka
1 shot Noilly Prat dry vermouth
Pour the vodka into a mixing glass or cocktail shaker.
Fill with ice and either begin to stir or shake.
As before, prepare your martini glass with a dash of vermouth and some ice to chill it.
When the martini is ready, tip out the vermouth and ice, and refill with the clear, cold, delightful and strong martini.
Garnish with twist of lemon peel, rubbed on the rim of the glass and dropped into the drink.
Remember to get the lemon oils onto the surface of the drink.
Now put on a tuxedo or dinner suit, check your Aston Martin where you left it, and sip, savouring the crisp cold vodka.
